The present book is a study in scientific chronology, geography and history of India before the Mahabharata battle. Tjhe new astrodynastic chronology (3100-350 B.C.) developed in this book shows that the proto- history (or the traditinal Puranic history) of India before the Mahabharata battle can be divided into two broad periods: viz the Harappan period (3100-1900 B.C.) and the Rigvedic period (1900-1400 B.C,)
The Harappan age of the Asura-Danava- Aila- Brahmarakshas extended from 3100 to 2000 BC and it covered north- west India (from Indus to Yamuna and Himalayas to Lothal). Then came th Aryan invasion. Tjhe Rgvedic Devas came down from sarasvati (Harahvaiti) and the Sarayu (Horayu) river valleys to Afghanistan and conquered the twin capital cities of Harappa on Parushni and Mohenjodaro on sindhu after a hundred years war ( 2000-1900 B.C)
Thereafter began the Rigvedic age which lasted for nerly thirty generations from 1900 to 1400 B,C, when the Mahabharata battle was fought. It gave rise to resurgence of the ancient early aryan Yadavas. During this period, the sway of the Sanskrit speaking Rigvedins extended upto Vedeha in the east, and down to the Vindhyas in the south.
In brief, the book deals with the Two-Wave theory of Aryan ingress; hundred years of Devasura war; the geography of Afghanistan and the Asura- Danava theory of Harappa.
